This new solution for the component supply industry, released for marketing in spring, is being introduced at the SMEs Gutos Metallschliessen, Technische Federn GmbH Otto Joos, Hölzel Stanz- und Feinwerktechnik, and Rheintacho Messtechnik. The Semiramis partners Swing and update Solutions were able in the second quarter four of new customers for VlexPlus - Semiramis, the industry solution for manufacturers and production companies with multiple product variants that was also launched on the market this year.

14. November 2008 – The Polish IT Group Comarch with around 3,000 employees one of the leading Polish IT companies will acquire a majority stake in SoftM Software und Beratung AG, . The aim of the deal, which is supported by the management board as well as the supervisory board of SoftM AG is to develop Comarch and SoftM into a leading supplier of IT-solutions for mid-sized businesses in Europe, especially throughout the German speaking region and Eastern Europe. At the same time SoftM AG announces preliminary results for the third quarter. In the first nine months, SoftM achieved significantly better result whilst maintaining sales at the previous year’s level.

The sale and implementation of Semiramis On Demand takes place via the Semiramis partner network.

Hanover, 12.09.08 – The Semiramis ERP II software in its latest version (4.4), offers a number of new functionalities for Business Intelligence, Business Process Management and Quality Management, will be presented at SYSTEMS 2008, to take place between 21 and 24 October in Munich. SoftM and Semiramis partners DV-Beratung Baumgart, KEK, SteinhilberSchwehr, SWING and update Solutions will present new industry solutions and add-ons based on Semiramis. Furthermore, the SeReS Unit of the University of Innsbruck is represented on the Semiramis stand who will convey the use of Semiramis in research and training to universities, colleges and other educational institutions.

Hanover, 08.07.2008 – After ten new customers already deciding on Semiramis ERPII software in the first quarter of 2008, Semiramis acquired an additional 14 medium-sized companies as clients in the second quarter. SoftM alone was able to gain six new customers and thereby continue its sales success from the first quarter (four new customers). The Semiramis partners A-MEA, KI, PowerSource, SWING and update continued to make a contribution to the superb growth in new clients. With a total of 24 new customers, the first half of 2008 is the second-best in Semiramis history and means that the number of new clients has almost doubled in comparison with the first six months of the previous year (13).

Hanover/ Innsbruck, 09.06.2008 – On time for the start of the European Football Championship, the world’s largest active RFID Use Case in the tourism and leisure sector goes online supported by Semiramis. Together with regional Austrian and Bavarian partners, the Institute for Strategic Management, Marketing and Tourism at the University of Innsbruck has set up an automated information system designed to relay information linked to specific  locations, times and target groups.  The activities of the partners involved in this project are administered and second level support guaranteed by the Semiramis ERPII software. Hanover, 5th March 2008 – SoftM brings new, attractive Semiramis ERP II software bundling packages using IBM hardware onto the market. A new package of software licenses including database and hardware equipment suitable for medium-sized companies was introduced at CeBIT in Hanover. Together with a customised finance package, the price of the complete solution for 35 users amounts to 98 euros per user per month.

Hanover, 03.03.2008 – An extensive load test was carried out in the IBM Innovation Center in Stuttgart using the Semiramis ERP-II system. With over 2500 concurrent users, the entirely Java-based system fulfilled all the requirements of the standard benchmarks required for implementation of a complete sales order. Thus, the number of concurrent users, compared to the test carried out by IBM and Semiramis one and half years ago, increased by more than 1000.

Munich, 20.02.08 – DV-Beratung Baumgart & Partner GmbH, Cologne, has developed production-related add-ons for Semiramis, including, in particular, a control centre that is used as an integral component of the overall logistics package. It receives data from Semiramis and uses it for detailed scheduling and detailed controlling. In conjunction with the recording of operating data at operational level, it is possible to carry out real-time monitoring of production workflows.
