Optimizing the process chain

The previous release, Comarch Semiramis 4.4, introduced a wealth of new frameworks. Themes like business intelligence, business process management, quality management and customs procedures were among the integrated functions provided by the business software. Release 4.5 in turn offers a number of equally comprehensive expansions.

Support for mobile processes, and a POS solution

Thanks to its modern software architecture, Comarch Semiramis ERP II software is tailor-made for web-based communications with any kind of terminal. That provides a new solution for mobile processes in the field of logistics, support on mobile devices for processes such as incoming goods, putting orders together, stock orders, and inventory. An integrated POS (point of sale) solution, linking point-of-sale systems with Comarch Semiramis installations, is now available to allow the use of Comarch Semiramis in the retail domain.

Extensions for planning and calculation

In the planning domain, Comarch Semiramis 4.5 offers supplements for the net change process (change planning). During a planning run, all master data and transaction data that have been changed since the last data transmission can now be transferred into the plan. A comprehensive recalculation is enabled with the new order-related calculation. Values reported back from the production order serve as the basis for this. The values determined from the recalculation can for example be compared with an item calculation. Desired and actual values can thus be clearly compared.

Sales: fast order entry

The new “fast sales entry voucher” has been introduced to enable the rapid entry of orders, whether for mass entry of orders or for cash sales. This provides the simplest and fastest possible way to enter “client”, “item” and “quantity”. A fast sales entry voucher can be set to be used just once, or as a model for further entries. “Sales orders” can be generated directly from the fast sales entry voucher or in the background.

Polish country version

Comarch Semiramis 4.5 adds country-specific functions to the Polish version, which has already been available since the previous release. These include the “Faktura Korekta” (corrected invoice) that is customary in Poland. If the need arises, a list of invoiced items requiring to be corrected can be issued with this function. Another special Polish feature is the requirement to keep inventory accounts for each storage location, and this too has been implemented in Comarch Semiramis 4.5.

User interface: new note icons

Ergonomics has always been a special strength of Comarch Semiramis. The main aim in designing and implementing Comarch Semiramis was to support users conveniently and to shield them as far as possible from the complexity of its processes. One substantial element of user guidance are intuitively understandable icons. In Comarch Semiramis 4.5, a text icon has been integrated into the user interface. This icon for post-it notes shows whether there are texts in the master data for items and partners, as well as in the vouchers.
